Skipathon 2008!!

The Great Manford Skipping Challenge...

All children from years 3-6 participated in the great Manford skipping challenge. Our aim was to learn how to skip, because it is a fantastic way to keep fit. All children bought their own skipping ropes to be used during playtimes from now on.

Pat Wye a PE advisor from the borough organised the event and all children were challenged to skip for 15 minutes. Each child was sponsored for the event; some raised as much as £40. The total raised will be posted after half term, when all the sponsor money has been counted. Half of the money raised will go towards buying playground equipment and the remaining money will be given to Saint Francis Hospice in Havering in memory of Marie Smith, a valued member of staff.

Well done to all children and staff who joined in the event, we now must be the fittest school in the borough!!

We hope you enjoy watching the video below of the event, can you spot yourself in action?
